LA Cop Under Arrest For Alleged Child Porn Distribution

An officer of the Los Angeles Police Department was apprehended on charges associated with child porn distribution.

In the Long Beach Police Department’s statement, it said that 52-year-old James Diamond allegedly distributed web content associated with child molestation. The Long Beach PD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce found the material thanks to a tip-off from the nonprofit NCMEC.

Last October, the task force’s detectives got a tip-off from the nonprofit about the likely online child molestation content distribution, according to the statement. In the detectives’ investigation, they gathered enough details to identify that suspect and form a probable reason for an arrest.

After setting search warrants for James Diamond’s residence and workplace, he was arrested around a Huntington Beach business. He has committed felonies of possessing child pornography as well as distributing obscene material that depicted a minor.

The Los Angeles Police Department noted that mentioned above are only preliminary details because there is an investigation underway.

The authorities concerned set $100,000 as the amount that Diamond should pay to a court of law to be released until his trial.
