Coachella Performer Lineup No Longer Includes Travis Scott

The lineup for the next edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival now does not include a performance from singer Travis Scott. The latest development follows the so-called Astroworld tragedy in Houston that took the life of 10 attendees.

Scott was all set to appear as the star performer at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival slated for April 2022 in Indio.

The Houston Police Department confirmed the death of 8 people after the star’s performance at the recent Astroworld music festival, where thousands of people allegedly pushed toward the forepart of his stage. Since then, at least two more Astroworld attendees died of the injuries they suffered at the music event.

A criminal probe is underway when there are multiple lawsuits made against Scott, singer Drake as well as the organizer and promoter of Astroworld ScoreMore and Live Nation, respectively.

Scott has denied accountability for the said deaths, and his lawyer has demanded the dismissal of the lawsuits filed against the rapper.

There is a petition with over 60,000 signatures demanding the removal of Scott from the performer lineup for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Scott was not part of the Day N Vegas festival on November 13, 2021, in which he was slated for a star performance. Recording artist Austin Richard Post performed in place of Scott at the Vegas festival.

Coachella is yet to announce who will perform in place of the rapper at the art festival next year.
