Super Bowl LVI Fans Will Have To Use KN95 Face Masks

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s officials stated that SoFi Stadium would require and offer KN95 face masks for the Super Bowl championship game.

Attendees can expect ushers at the stadium to remind Super Bowl fans that face masks are a must always, except when drinking or eating.

Since the spike in the COVID-19 case count over the winter, the Department has encouraged residents to choose at least surgical-grade face masks instead of cloth masks.

The US county has also required negative coronavirus test results and vaccination at the entry point of stadium games and other mega-events. The same requirement will apply to Super Bowl attendees.

Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission CEO and President Kathryn Schloessman had mentioned that SoFi Stadium would offer masks during the NFL championship game. Schloessman also said that SoFi Stadium would be prepared for adjustments if required.

Earlier this January, Schloessman told the LA Weekly newspaper that what is required for a healthful and safe NFL event is known. Schloessman feels that all know what the safety protocols are as well as what they would have to do to increase the protocols if COVID-19 becomes more serious. Schloessman is excited about bringing the public back to LA and showing them that the city is capable of hosting a safe and healthful event.
