DA Decide Against Filing Charges Against Trevor Bauer Of The Dodgers

The Office of the Los Angeles District Attorney decided against filing a criminal charge against the pitcher of the LA Dodgers, Trevor Bauer. Some months ago, Bauer was charged with sexual assault.

As per files from the Office of the District Attorney, there was a lack of evidence to substantiate the accusation beyond a reasonable doubt after it reviewed all the pieces of evidence available.

Pasadena Police Department finished its probe on August 27, 2021, and handed its discovery over to the Office of the DA for review.

A protective order was placed on the player after a woman from Ohio accused him of not only hitting her in her face, vagina and buttocks but also gagging her until she became unconscious.

The player has not entered the field after his start on June 28, 2021, versus the San Francisco Giants. The Los Angeles Dodgers placed him on a mandatory leave of absence, which extended itself right through the season.

Bauer may come back to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers thanks to this decision from District Attorney George Gascón. However, Bauer’s future with this team will hinge on Major League Baseball’s decision and perhaps a team call.

In response to the news about Bauer, MLB stated that there was an ongoing investigation and that it would comment at the right time.

Last October, Bauer spoke about the accusations against him and released a YouTube video where he described the allegations as misleading.

Through his YouTube account, Bauer stated that he expected to speak about the materially misleading and false accusations. He also said that a legal issue had been resolved as well as that the decision of the judge was on hand and it needed no further explanation.

The Los Angeles Dodgers made Bauer enter a 3-year deal before last season, which made him the player with the highest yearly payment back then.
